Program

We are proudly committed to being partners in the preparation of the children in our care for their bright futures in this excitingly wide world. This has influenced us in the naming of the playrooms at the center after the continents around the world. Adventure

Our program is designed to meet the physical, social, intellectual, emotional and creative needs of all the children in our care. We aim to provide a more home like environment with neutral colors, natural items, intriguing materials and intimate settings and furnishings.

During their time at the center the children will engage in a variety of exciting and developmentally appropriate activities and materials both indoors and outdoors. Combined with a great environment and caring, dedicated staff members, we are supporting the development of the “whole child”. Program themes and learning opportunities will be based on and developed around the current interests of individual children as well as groups of children. This will help the children construct relevant knowledge about their environment and how to interact with it, as well as give them a sense of competency and achievement. Through detailed observation, documentation, and communication with the children, we will initiate and introduce specific ideas or learning concepts. We are proudly influenced by the Reggio Emilia Approach originating from Italy.

Our program operates with an open door policy and welcomes and encourages parent and family involvement in the program in a variety of ways. We welcome family members to visit the center, share cultural celebrations and materials, participate in a special craft, attend field trips, attend parent focus meetings, and to be overall active participants in children’s learning.
