We try to accommodate special dietary requirements due to allergies, intolerances and religious reasons.  However, if a child has extreme food allergies then we have a “Nutritional Agreement Form” for families and we require you provide daily food and drink for your child/ren. The management team decides if this will be relevant on a case by case basis – it is not offered as a choice for other families.

Children over the age of 1 with any allergy, intolerance or preference (A/I/P) of menu item substitution (ie. religious reasons, family choices etc.) can choose to either provide a substitution similar to our menu item or choose to pay the monthly special menu fee to have the center provide a suitable substitution.The monthly cost for special menu items will be $25 a month. If families have multiple children each with a special menu item need, the $25 a month will apply to the first child, $20 per month for the second child, $15 per month for the third child, and $10 a month for any additional children after 3. If a family chooses to provide their own substitutions but forget one day, a $5 daily charge will be applied to allow for a last-minute purchase of a suitable menu item option.

Our menu is for children aged 1-6, we do not provide any food or beverage items for children under 1 year or for children attending grades 1-6. We do however involve the children in cooking activities and provide some special snacks/lunches on special days. We follow the CANADA FOOD GUIDE and aim to provide 50% of a child’s daily nutritional intake. We do take into account a child will have had breakfast and dinner at home.
